AM6442: OTP Key programming steps

I'm working on the steps to fusing keys in OTP area. What is the flashwriter BL(fw-tiboot3.bin) application mentioned in the AM62x_HS_Key_Programming_Flashing_v2.pdf document? When I examine the MCU_PLUS_SDK package, there is a dfu sample in it, I wonder if this example is a compiled version of it?

Hi Prashant,

Thanks for advise, I am checking it. In this regard, my aim is to start the device in EMMC boot mode and write the OTP key, I don't want to reprogram the EMMC later. I am researching what kind of design I can reach the most efficient solution. In addition, what is the flashwriter (fw-tiboot3.bin) described in the PDF file? I'm curious about what options I have with what this app provides.

Hi Canibek,

The `fw-tiboot3.bin` is a generic name given to any ROM bootable flash writer application. The idea is once you have converted the device to HSSE, the ROM boots the `fw-tiboot3.bin` either from the redundant offset or backup boot media. This flash writer application once booted can then start the flashing procedure as designed.
