AM62P: Power Up

Part Number: AM62P

Hi TI experts,

Regarding AM62P Power sequency, after taking a look at AM62P EVM Power-up chart (page 6), it seems to me that timing between VDD_CANUART and Soc_DVDDD3V3 is not correct (600ms). According TPS22965DSGT datasheet (used to apply the required delay), the correct time should be at least 380us.
What's the correct value?
At AM62P datasheet (section 6.11.2.2.1 Power-Up Sequencing), there is a sequence chart but there are no time indication...
Is there any document that describe this information?

  • hello Tiago Borth

    Thank you for the query.

Please read through the below section of the data sheet including the notes.

    Table 6-4. Power-Up Sequencing – Supply / Signal Assignments

VDDSHV_CANUART, VDDSHV_MCU, and VDDSHVx [x=0-3] are dual voltage IO supplies which can be operated at 1.8V or 3.3V
    depending on the application requirements.
VDDSHV_CANUART shall be connected to an always-on power source when using Partial IO low power mode, or connected to any
valid IO power source when not using Partial IO low power mode. When VDDSHV_CANUART is not connected to an always-on power
source and is operating at 3.3V, it shall be ramped up with other 3.3V supplies during the 3.3V ramp period defined by this waveform.
When any of the VDDSHV_MCU and VDDSHVx [x=0-3] IO supplies are operating at 3.3V, they shall be ramped up with other 3.3V
supplies during the 3.3V ramp period defined by this waveform.

  • Hi Kallikuppa, actually the only thing I want to know is the time difference (ms) between each step of the power sequence.

  • Hello Tiago Borth

    Thank you.

We do not have timing specified.

The only requirement is for the previous power supply to be ramped to the recommended voltage level before the start of the next supply ramp.
