I just checked internally and we don't have that any internal opkg and/or repository available. As an alternative, you could build your package on your host machine and host it for your project.

The situation is even better now. All opkg remote update support is available now.

And this (without GPU driver modification, with full GPU acceleration):

Additionally, printing, scanning, private mail server and other functionality verified for working for now.

VLC call gstream OpenGL-accelerated plugin, so it crashes on this accelerated video playback.

This package uses bubblewrap as sandboxing technique in web access. It also uses some OpenGL and other unsupported calls, so better to recompile this package without them in place. But it requires big amount of memory as mentioned before.

Now VLC works fine in standard SDK environment (with hardware accelerated multithreaded video playback on Wayland). There is no noticeable frame drops or v-sync desynchronization on HD video playback.

Ok,

These compilation flags are valid for this scenario:

--enable-gles2 --without-x --disable-xcb --disable-xvideo --enable-wayland

However, standard SDK 9.1 has restricted version of QT libraries. So, they should be recompiled as well.

I am trying to download from the link you provided, but I am not able to download either package.  I don't see an option to register/login.  Is the mirror down?

I fixed the download problem, chrome was blocking popups for the Arch Linux ARM page.  I also found the register/login & registered.  Will keep you posted on what I find and will work with that forum if I am able to get things going.

Alexey, you mention compilation flags but the links you provided are just binaries to be placed in /usr on the target.  Where do we get sources so we can compile ourselves?  Thanks!

Patricia, the compilation flags are for VLC player. Please, don't think that either one is the simple scenario. These two are probably most complicated. The noticed depended libraries are actual and should be fulfilled as well.

Is there some sort of example code somewhere in the webkitgtk/webkit2gtk that explains how to use this package in embedded development?

Patricia, I saw on the Internet, that you work in Linux based R&D Lab and have experience in making Linux core drivers. But don't understand your behaviour here, as you don't realize time, resource requirements, can't even read first page of WebKitGTK project, its purpose, intention and available browsers based on it.

Wow, no need to be rude.  Yes, I have written many low level kernel drivers, this area is new to me.  I don't have a lot of time, true.  Which is exactly why I was asking the forum for assistance.  But I see that is not going to happen.

For those, who cannot afford time there is always option to rise cross-compilation infrastructure, which can rise the final process up to 30 times. Final binaries may be not optimized fully for a specific CPU like Cortex A53, but it will work eventually. Which infrastructure to choose is up to a maintainer and such environmental references will be injected to final binaries anyway.
