C5000 mult32.asm bug

HI,

A custonmer has stumbled across a problem with one of the TI assembly routines (mult32.asm, which is a part of their DSPLIB package).

They wanted to use this routine to speed up or 32-bit multiplications but were having some strange issues. Then, discovered that other users had similar issues, as per http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c5000_power-efficient_dsps/f/109/t/98927.aspx

Has TI internally updated the mult32.asm routine to correct these errors? If so, I would really appreciate if we received an updated version.

Hi Carlo,

According to the wiki post, PSH T3, PSHBOTH XAR5 and POPBOTH XAR5, POP T3 are all that need to be added to fix this.

I will let you know if I find out more.

Mark is correct: You should be able to fix this yourself if you understand TMS320 ASM, given my guide in the Wiki.
