J784S4XEVM: [SV62] Request to support on how to communicate with MAX 96724 DES EVM via J784S4EVM

Hi,

We are working on bringing up our capture pipeline on J784S4 EVM using MAX 96724 EVM, But we have found that we don't have the direct I2C interface to communicate with the MAX DESER96724R by looking into the schematics of the deserializer (i.e.) we don't have a pin to pin match with our CSIRX interface on the EVM. 

It is mentioned that the I2C is connected through ARM M4 MCU through micro USB. When we checked the schematic diagram of J784S4 EVM, we understand that I2C data lines are present in CSIRX lanes and SGMII interface. So we don't have a direct pin to pin compatible interface.  Is it possible to connect to I2C through SGMII interface and then route the I2C config data to CSIRx so that CSIRX input is configured correctly?

    Sorry, did not get it. Do you mean i2c lines are muxed with CSIRX and SGMII interface? You can then change pinmux register to get the i2c functionality on this pin. 

    I really doubt CSIRX is pinmux with I2C lines. Typically, I2C has different pins and that's what is used in the SDK to configure external sensor.
