AM62A7-Q1: AM62A7-Q1 : DFU issue

There is not much context in the query to better understand the issue. Could you please elaborate on the following: 1) What SDK are you using? 2) What images are you sending over DFU?

SK-AM62A-LP Evaluation board SDK version is 09.01.00.07

DFU is in progress from custom board to USB.

tiboot3.bin upload is done on the custom board, but tispl.bin upload is failed.

As the first step, have you made sure you are building the R5F SPL (tiboot3.bin) with DFU defconfig (am62ax_evm_r5_usbdfu_defconfig)

I am uploading the same image to the SK-AM62A-LP Evaluation board and custom board.

On the SK-AM62A-LP Evaluation board, usb dfu is uploaded successfully.

The problem only occurs on the custom board we made.

This looks like the R5F SPL (tiboot3.bin) built for TI AM62A EVM is not compatible with your custom board. In case you are using custom parts like custom DDR, you will need to port the PSDK before using it.

I have additional inquiries.

VDDSHV_CANUART, VDDSHV_MCU, and VDDSHVx [x=0-3] I understand that the power source is selected 3.3V or 1.8V.

SK-AM62A-LP Evaluation board is using 3.3V and our custom board is using 1.8V.

Do I have to make additional settings when I use 1.8V?

I would like to check additional action when uploading USB DFU. ex) DDR rst High siganl

I'd like to know the hardware points that I can check.

In addition, MCU_SAFETY_ERRORz_1V8pin is output to High on our custom board, so please check what the problem is.

From your last UART log, it appears the code is hanging around the point where DDR get initialized.  You may need to make changes to the DDR configuration file in your code for your custom board.  

Can you add 

#define DEBUG 1

at the very top of drivers/ram/k3-ddrss/k3-ddrss.c and rebuild the code.  This will provide some more debug statements to see if the problem is DDR configuration

What DDR are you using on your board?  Did you follow the guidance in https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sprad66 when designing the DDR portion of the board?
