AM623: How to synchronize various events within the processor

Hey Sitara MPU team,

I have a customer evaluating the AM623 for a new design and we were hoping to better understand if and how it would be possible to synchronize the output of SPI, SPDIF, and the PWMs within the processor. Is there some sort of interconnect in place within the event fabric for this device to allow for synchronizing these outputs to a HW SOC event such as a timer?

Any advice or guidance you can provide here would be much appreciated!

    We probably need more context and detail on their application. Nothing inherently available in software or tools, but there are some provisions in the SoC architecture 

    At a high level PWM is already part of the time synchronization scheme in the device family. For SPI and SPDIF: need a little bit more context on what time synchronization means.

    Do we have more details on 

    • Which of the peripherals is the timing initiator,  which have to be synchronized to it.
    • Is the SPDIF being used to transport *audio* or is it being used because of the biphasemark coding.

    (ex. to have a convenient way to transport over an optical link or ac coupled coax..)
