TDA4 MidPlus J784S4 - RTP Video transmission from A72 to (EMAC on R5F) of TDA MCU

Hello,

For Sending video in H.265 Encoded format from TDA4VMidPlus and RTP packetized in the A72 cores of Main Domain, but physical Ethernet port on R5F core of MCU (RGMII).

Could you please confirm if this is possible directly by the HW without high level SW controlling ?

Hi Mohamed,

I dont see any issue in this approach, but please note RTP packetization is not supported in the released SDK. Also you would require to develop mechanism using IPC to transfer RTP packetized data to R5F. IPC is supported between A72 and R5F, but there is no mechanism/framework to transfer. Probably you can use remote services available in vision apps to transfer data.

Could you please tell what is the RTP supported allocation in the current SDK , and whether it is planned to be supported at A72 cores for next SDK ?

Hi Mohamed,

As of now, there is no plan to support for RTP streaming in the SDK.

Encoder outputs elementary stream, you would need to port some RTP stack to packetize it.
