DM36x-IPNC and latest DVSDK

I'd like to try latest DVSDK (dvsdk_dm368_4_02) for dm36x processors. Mainly because I need to test gstreamer with ti support, which we want to use in our new application. The only hardware I have right now is DM368-IPNC. Unfortunately I do not have a support package for this reference design but I hope I'll be able to run the the dvsdk there.  As I do not have the original sources and don't want to erase the flash, I tried to boot up the system from SD card (following this note http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM355_SD_card_boot_and_flash_utility). Is the option one meant for the booting the u-boot located on sd card? Unfortunately it does not do anything in my case.

I have also tried to boot the kernel for evm using actually installed u-boot (version 1.3.4), but also with no success. I know there will be a collision in mach numbers, but I tried to follow the instructions (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/FAQ_for_DaVinci_Linux) to enable the early messages or disable mach type checking and I'm still not getting any output from kernel ending with following message

Could please someone give me some hints how to make the dvsdk working on this hardware?
