DaVinci Encode Latency Requirement Recommendation

I recieved the following question from a customer:

"_______ is looking for low delay H.264 HD encode, less than 16ms."

Can you please advise on which product family would meet this requirement?  Thanks.

    David,

    It depends on the video frame rate and is based upon the slice rate, but the video codecs having low latency support on HDVICP2.0 (found in DM814x and DM816x devices) could provide a latency in the range of <10 ms.  More info is found in the codec datasheet.
