Emulator and CCS for C6678

Hello:

 

I'm developing two types of board, one with two C6678 and another with five C6678. The JTAG interface is 14 pins connector, and the level is 3.3v.

Which types of emulator can be used when debugging? XDS100, XDS560 or XDS 560V2. Which is the best one?

And, if CCS5 is must selected for C6678?

    the C6678 has 1.8V IO's.

    CCSv5 is needed in conjunction with C6678.

    on the selection of your JTAG topology and the selection of the emulator I'd recommend to read the following pages:

    If you look into XDS560 technology I'd also consider using a 60-pin header for JTAG to enable Trace.

    XDS100 gives you the benefit to be able to use a free license for CCS.

    I hnow the C6678 has 1.8v IO. I have convert it to 3.3v using TI's chip. So, XDS560  emulator can be used, is it?

    You mean XDS100 can also be used for C6678 or not? I can't catch your meaning.

    the XDS100 supports 1.8/3.3 volt device I/O. XDS100 can be used with TMS320C6678.
