In the above documentation, MCAN external loopback connection is displayed, but instead, it can be connected to a different external MCAN node, to send/receive data.

What is the setup you are planning to use for the test? Please be more specific about the MCU device you are planning to use with AM64x?

The MCU board to be used together is LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 (TMS570LS1224).

This board is uploaded with CAN communication firmware that uses an interrupt to send and receive text messages at a speed of 500 kbps.

The final goal of the test is to run the bootloader of 'LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012' through CAN communication in SK-AM64 and send the application file,

But for now, I would like to implement and confirm the sending and receiving of text through CAN communication with SK-AM64.

Hi Seongwoong,

You can go ahead and test with the external loopback example.
It should work if you have the correct hardware connections and MCAN bit timing parameters on sync, both transmitter and receiver side.

I think the example you mentioned only supports the 'am64x-evm' board, but what I have is the 'am64x-sk' board.

Is the example applicable regardless of the type of board?

And can I get some detailed information on how to set the bit timing parameter to match the transmission speed to 500kps using classic CAN without using CAN FD?
