AM623: Transfer rate of CBASS

Guru 10085 points
Part Number: AM623

Hi Support Team,

CPU⇔DDR and MIPI CSI-2 are connected via CBASS inside AM62x,
and the datasheet shows that the operating clock of CBASS is 250MHz (max).

Couldn't figure out the bus width of CBASS,
and how many Mbps is the transfer rate of CBASS at?

Background to the above question.
My customer's main application will be to input camera images on 4 lanes from MIPI CSI-2,
store them in DDR4, and analyze the image data.

They are looking at where the bottleneck could be if they use the AM623x.

Customer is calculating the maximum speed on theoretical basis in order to present to the end-user
how quickly the raw data from 5MP camera can be captured.
However, since the operating frequency of CBASS, which must be passed through,
appears to be quite slow at 250MHz in Datasheet, it is necessary to check the transfer bandwidth of CBASS.

Customer would like to confirm this as soon as possible, so please share information
on when you will be able to provide an answer and the documents that contain the answer.

Best Regards,
Kanae
