To clarify your question on the previous thread: No, we cannot backport kernel code for you from kernel 6.1 to kernel 5.10, and we cannot answer questions if you decide to backport the changes yourself.

In general we do not support backporting code, but this especially applies to PRU Ethernet. Keep in mind that the PRU Ethernet code is still under active development: we are still adding new features and fixing bugs even in the upcoming SDK 9.2, and later SDK 10.0. That means that both the Linux driver, AND the PRU firmware, has had a lot of changes between SDK 8.6 and now. In general, we suggest using the latest code (for both the Linux driver, AND the PRU firmware). The driver and PRU firmware are developed alongside each other, so you should not expect PRU firmware from one SDK release to work with driver code from a different SDK release.

One more note on SDK 9.2: there is an SDK 9.2.0.8 that is already released. This is NOT the "true" SDK 9.2. The "true" SDK 9.2 will probably come out sometime in April. Think of  SDK 9.2.0.8 as "basically SDK 9.1".
