TDA4VM: How to use exFAT on TDA4VM

Part Number: TDA4VM

HI Ti members

I'm trying to use exFAT external memory in TDA4VM EVM.

The RTOS PSDK version is 9.0.0.2. and Linux version is 9.0.0.8.

Whan should I add a config to recognize exFAT format ?

Best regards

Yongsig

  • HI Yongsig

Can you elaborate more on your usecase what exactly you want to do ?

  • Hi Diwakar

When I run the vision app such as avp, I want to make the application can read the test image from the external SSD which is formatted by exFAT.

    Best regards

  • HI yongsig

Once you connected the SSD you should be able to mount it using command  mount command

    Ex: mount /dev/<ssd>  /mnt/ssd

No need to change anything in the config.

And I tried to mount, but 'mount: /mnt/ssd: unknown filesystem type 'exfat'.'

Should I update exfat driver from PSDK Linux?

If I have to do, please let me know how to update.

    Best regards

  • Hi Yongsig

Have you enabled the driver(EXFAT_FS) in your config file ?
