AM62A7: AM62A7: SD card not detecting after SW reset

Can you please attach the full console boot log after power On/OFF the board? We'd like to see the SD card state before the reboot command.

Hi Sushmitha,

The log shows the board is first booted from eMMC. It rebooted from eMMC again, then you stopped at u-boot prompt and tried to switch to SD card and it failed.

Instead eMMC, can you directly boot from SD card at the first place?

If we boot from SD then if we reboot from SD , it will hang and Uboot will not load again. That is SD will not detect after reboot so it will not boot again

Hi Sushmithaa,

I cannot reciprocate this issue at my end. Is it possible to switch to a different EVM with proper power supply and test the same, to carve out any hardware related issue.

In your SD boot log, you did command 'mmc dev 1' at the u-boot prompt. Why you have to run this command? Upon this 'mmc dev 1' command, did you boot U-Boot from SD card or eMMC? I want to see the console log from purely SD boot, eMMC is not in the path at all.

It is completely booting from SD. In uboot I just given "mmc dev 1" to show you SD is detecting.

Can you please add "no-1-8-v;" in sdhci1 node in k3-am62-main.dtsi in both U-Boot and kernel to see it make SD card work in reboot?

Checked the mentioned testcase. If we add "no-1-8-v" it will detect in uboot after reboot

Hi @Bin Liu,

SoC reset pins are routed to the SD card power switch and it is proper and same as SK-AM62A schematics

But still the SD card is not detecting in uboot after reboot
