Here is demo of sing webcam usb gadget kernel module g_webcam on DM365. Test video image is generated by demo application. Sources can be integrated with VPFE/CCDC to stream real video from camera.

Single binary image of Linux kernel and root FS. http://www.makelinux.net/kernel/downloads/webcam_gadget_dm365.uImage

Sources:
Kernel: http://gitorious.org/linux-davinci version 3.0.0, or any another with g_webcam
Enable USB on DM365 with http://www.makelinux.net/kernel/downloads/usb-dm365.patch
Application: http://git.ideasonboard.org/?p=uvc-gadget.git;a=summary

Usage:

Connect the board to computer (host) with USB.

Run FW image on the board.

Run on the host (with Linux)
mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2
or
cvlc v4l2://

Hello Constantine,

I'm trying to enable the "USB Webcam Gadget" for arm environment.

kernel : linux-2.6.37.psp04.01.00.06.patch1

(in ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_03_00_09_setuplinux)

EVM : DM8140

what I've done is to choose "USB Webcam Gadget" as built-in in menuconfig.

then manually set CONFIG_USB_GADGET_MUSB_HDRC=y

the uImage is built successfully, but can't be used to boot the EVM.

Hi Constantine,

Could you help to figure out DM365 kernel configure file for building ?

Without it i could not build kernel 3.0.0 to run on DM365/DM368.

Thanks for the demo code,

By following your provided steps , i am able to get yuv stream on Host system, but if i tried to send MJPEG image , on Host system side i can not able to see anything, is there anything additionally i need to do in your code?

Here how i tried, by just providing image with -i option its not setting MJPEG format so i did it forcefully, can you please provide some addition steps to make it working.
