AM623: DDR4 Data Bit Swapping

Part Number: AM623
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

I'm looking at swapping the DDR4 data bits as per the PROC142A(002) reference board however when I try to assign pins in the TI SysConfig tools, I don't get the option to assign the DQx pins to anything other that the default one.

The reference board circuits assign them as follows:

I can only assign DDR_DQ0 to F4, DDR_DQ1 to G5 etc....

  • For DDR4, there is no software configuration change necessary when swapping data signals within a byte.  A software configuration change is only necessary for LPDDR4.  So for DDR4, you don't need to worry about specifying the swapping your are performing on the board.
