J784S4XEVM: Add USB camera support for tiovx apps

I need to run tiovx pipelines with a USB camera for testing. I could not figure out how to capture the USB camera instead of IMX390 (which is currently supported by examples)

I confirm that I can capture the USB camera input using a basic Gstreamer pipeline. However, I need to capture it using tiovx graphs.

Any documentation or examples for this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Currently USB Cameras are not tested on the OpenVX framework as the there is no USB driver present in the RTOS for the same.

Hence USB Cameras on OpenVX framework is not supported as part of RTOS SDK offering.

Is it possible to feed OpenVX framework by USB camera as in the video file examples? I mean capturing the image by using opencv or gstreamer on linux, and passing the data to OpenVX

Yes,

that could be possible. You would have to wrap the buffer from openCV into a openVX data object and then pass it on to the framework. But please note that the OpenVX would only accept buffers created using dma-buf framework.
