Hello Gang,

in a previous post, you mentioned to that the TDA4VM does not support 4x4 raw color patterns and preprocessing, IR interpolation + IR subtraction + Bayer 2x2 conversion, on the DSP will be needed. Is this the case on the TDA4VH as well?

Hi Daviel,

TDA4VM has VPAC1 and TDA4VH VPAC3.
Neither can support RGBIR 4x4.

Only VPAC3L (in AM62A or J722S) can support RGBIR 4x4.

for the TDA4VH in this case, What will be the best practical way to convert to a 2x2? will it be IR interpolation + IR subtraction + Bayer 2x2 conversion on the DSP?

Hi Daviel,

Yes, that sounds correct.

1. convert 4x4 to IR in DSP

2. convert 4x4 to Bayer 2x2 and subtract IR from Bayer 2x2 in DSP

3. send IR subtracted Bayer 2x2 to VISS
