J721EXSOMXEVM: Processor J721EXSOMG01EVM issue

Hi Team,

I am currently using J721EXSOMG01EVM Board, I have loaded SDK-PROCESSOR-RT-LINUX-8.06 .

The board is booting normally and we are able to see the display, the issue is that the processor(J721E) which is part of the SOM module is getting heated up quickly within a span of 2 mins, even though it is attached to a heat sink and a fan. 

We are operating the board at room temperatures ( 23 - 25 degrees). We did try with other SDK's but the issue persists we also did clean the board and this made no differnce. 

Can you provide a solution to this issue..?

    Hello Subba Rao,

    This is not normal and we do not see it on other boards or from other customers. You can run the "top" command to see what is the CPU load to determine if any task or process is hogging the CPU. If you have another board, try the same image and check if we see the same issue.

    If this issue persists, one option is to do a board return. Let us know if you need the details for this.
