TDA4VM: Is it possible to use EdgeAI components in different SDK?

Hi TI teams,

We are using Linux SDK version 08-06-01-02 in TDA4VM.

Can I use the EdgeAI component that exists in SDK 09-01-00-06 or higher version SDK in SDK 08-06-01-02 environment?

    Hi Kicheol,

    It is not recommended to mix and match SDK versions, since there are dependencies between each components, and each SDK release we add new features and make bug fixes that could change behavior that may or may not be expected/necessary by previous releases.

    There is a possibility that it works, but most likely there will be some issues you will need to work through if you choose to mix versions, because we do not conduct internal testing with different combinations of versions. So, in cases of issues, support from TI will be limited as we will have less experience and knowledge base for known issues.

    The recommendation is to use the same version of SDK for both Linux and EdgeAI components.
