DRA829V: Boot stuck on some PCBAs : OP-TEE configuration might be insecure!

I have assigned this thread to our Linux expert to comment, but he is out-of-office returning Mar-18, so his response will be delayed.

But in general, we think the message you highlighted in red is not the reason for the PCBA getting stuck. We suspect this could be the possibility due to some DDR timing issue. Have you made sure that DDR configuration is taken care of properly for your board? Have you run memtester to make sure DDR is stable?

We ran a simple DRAM test and it seem to pass. Where can we find memtester utility to see if this fails and investigate further?

All the OPTEE messages are executed out of DDR. So have you tried attaching debugger to check if we have A72 SPL running that crashed or where is the crash?

Also is this consistent on all boot and all boards?

Also please share the complete boot logs from R5 SPL.

My team is trying to get more details on this issue.

- It is not consistent across boots - It seems to get stuck at different points (Bootloader or Kernel )

- Once stuck only power cycle can recover from this state

How can we run the memtester code? Is there a handy binary we can use to investigate this issue further?
