TDA4VE-Q1: Does TDA4VE support different sensor simultaneously?

Hi TI Experts,

In our production, we plan to use different sensor of camera for 9 cameras input on TDA4VE and TDA4VEN.

We'd like to know if there is any limitation of that? Can we support it simultaneously.

For example,

4* cameras with OV sensor @30fps

4*cameras with Sumsang sensor @15fps

1*camera with Sumsang sensor @20fps

Hi Waley,

What's the input resolution for each of these camera? Have you calculated lane speed required for capturing these cameras and is the MP/s sufficient for VPAC processing?

Thank you very much for your quickly response.

The resolution of each camera as below.

4* cameras with OV sensor 1920*1536@30fps

4*cameras with Sumsang sensor 1920*1080@15fps

1*camera with Sumsang sensor 1920*1080@20fps

Except the bandwidth of ISP and VIN? Do we have any limitation on supporting different sensor IC and different frame rate simultaneously?

Hi Waley,

Not as such, for the above resolutions, if required, we can use multiple CSIRX ports to capture them.

From VISS point of view

- first cameras requires around 354MP/s processing

- second requires around 63MP/s

- third one requires around 42MP/s.

So total is around 460MP/s. This can be supported on ISP, if you are using highest speed grade device.
