PCIe RC support in linux-c6x on EVM6678

Hi,

From what I can see in the roadmap at

http://linux-c6x.org/wiki/index.php/Roadmap

there is no mentioning of PCIe support in Linux, specifically RC mode.

Is this something that is planned for the future, or is it actually available now if you configure it?

 

We are going to use external PCIe Intel E1000 (82576EB) network controllers and wonder how much work it will take to get the drivers up running in uClinux.

I guess what is missing is some driver for or initialization of the C6678 PCIe controller?

    Hi,

    We intend to enhance our offering in the coming months but as of now, we don't have a plan for adding PCIe support in linux c6x.

    It is tough to gauge how much work is required to port a PCIe driver to linux.

    As part of the BIOS MCSDK package, i believe PCI boot examples are released which will the init code for 6678 PCI controller.
