AM4378: AM4378 memory interface

Hi,

Two DDR3L SDRAM 8bit are connected to the memory interface of AM4378.
① Is there any problem with the processing of empty terminals as follows?
・DDR_DQS2, DDR_DQS2 → Pull up to VDDS_DDR with 1kΩ
・DDR_DQSn2, DDR_DQSn3 → Pull down to GND with 1kΩ
・DDR_D16~DDR_D31 →OPEN
・DDR_DQM2, DDR_DQM3 →OPEN
・DDR_ODT1 →OPEN

② Should I include a damping resistor in the attached red part? Could you please let me know if there is a recommended resistance value?
Also, is it better not to put anything into the wires that have been terminated (VTT termination)?

Thanks,

Conor

  • Conor,

    1. This is detailed in the datasheet section  5.12.8.2.1.3.1 DDR3 Interface Schematic

    2.  Your schematic should reflect the block diagram from the datasheet.  No damping resistors are necessary
