Run e2fsck on every boot?

On boot, I get this message:

EXT2-fs (mmcblk0p1): warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended

During power cycle tests, the SD card gets corrupted, corrupted nodes are noted on bootup. I would like to run e2fsck on every bootup but I can't find the where to enable that. I've checked the usual suspects:

/etc/fstab
rootfs / auto defaults 1 1

/etc/default/rcS
ENABLE_ROOTFS_FSCK=yes

Environment:
OMAP-L137 EVM from Spectrum Digital
DVSDK 03.21.00.04 aka linux2.6.37
Arago FS 2009-11 on SD Card.

Hi,

You could also check if using EXT3 or EXT4 is better for you. Ext2 doesn't do journaling and so, its pretty easy for the SD Card to get corrupted. Maybe changing the filesystem on the card is better than running FSCK each time.

Other option is to manually 'sync' before power-cycling the board.

Thanks for info. I'll consider EXT3 when time comes to rework the filesystem. Either EXT2 or EXT3, I want to force a fsck on every boot. The production system will be unattended, so I can really use any manual solutions.

ext3 is a lot better the ext2, we tested power off during program running for many times, ext2 will failed within 20-30 times but ext3 could last longer.

don't know how to fsck while mounting for 30 times, any clue?
