Hi TI folks,

I'm looking for the TMDSIDK574 but it's out of stock on your website. I have a client looking to use the C2000 MCUs to evaluate EtherCat. However there is no readily available master device which I can just add to cart. The TMDSIDK574 seems to be the closest match. I would like to see what options TI has..

If there are other readily available EtherCat devices I can buy, please help advise! I am waiting for quotes from industrial PC vendors and a PLC vendor.

    Hi Seth, 

    I want to understand your question. Your client is looking to use C2000 as a ethercat(subordinate) and you are looking for a way to communicate with the C2000 device with an Ethercat(main) device?

    If yes, 

    we have plenty of EVMs from our processors that can perform Ethercat(main). If simply looking to have a communication link I would go for a low cost Starter Kit as below:

    AM64: SK-AM64B for $129

    If no, 

    please help explain further and we can identify a solution

    Hi Alec,

    Thanks for the suggestion. What is required for this SK-AM64B to support EtherCat? The goal of the project is to evaluate distributed clock so maximizing on that timing seems to require real-time host operating systems.

    The reason I found the TMDSIDK574 was because of the details from this TI document. Is that path suitable for the AM64B?
