TDA4VM: Stop/Hal MAIN domain and reboot entire SoC

Hello,

Is there any way to Halt or Stop MAIN domain using commands from MCU RF5 software and later issue command reboot entire SoC?

I want to do following,

Logic will decide to Halt the MAIN domain execution: Upon command trigger from MCU R5F SW, all the software on MAIN domain (A72 and R5F) should stop. MCU RF5 SW still running.

Logic will decide to reboot system: Upon command trigger from MCU R5F SW, entire SoC reboots from SD card including MCU R5F

Not exactly halt/stop, but it does relate to the second part of your query to reboot the system.

We do have LPM support in J721e RTOS SDK which does the same. Please check LPM example once and let us know if that helps with your use case.

We are working with AUTOSAR and as there is no direct LPM support available on AUTOSAR, it is little tricky to try out LPM code out of RTOS on AUTOSAR.

This would also call for change in the booting mechanism using OSPI. Currently we have placed all the binaries in SD card and booting.

Hence, I am looking for alternative options other than LPM. In this case I do not really need to switch off MAIN domain, but can MAIN cores be halted so that execution stops and then restart cores from AUTOSAR from MCU? In this case I do not need to switch to MCU only mode. Of Course there would be difference in power saving, but currently I can live with this.

Please find the attached code for turning off A72 Core, let us know if this helps.
