May I have question about usage of H.264 enc/dec?

My customer is using AM571x IVA-HD for H.264 enc/dec, and considering migration AM62P, AM62A, or AM68A.

Question 1 :

Is the AM62P, AM62A and AM6x's hardware video enc/dec compleatly same IP?

Question 2 :

Is there API Migration guide to AM6x from AM57x?

Question 3 :

I found AM57x's IVA-HD API guide in ti-git.

Is there API document for AM62A video enc/dec?

Hi GR,

Answer 1: Yes, the codec IP is same for AM62P,. AM62A and AM68.

Answer 2: There is no Migration guide to AM6x from AM57x as they are entirely different SoC(with A53s and Cortex R5s on AM62P)
