Hi,
I have been playing with the board for a while and now I have a rough
idea how it works. Now I need to test the board's performance in
different scenarios and I have a couple of questions regarding that:
Here is the goal in our main scenario:
We need to simultaneously stream out multiple videos (MPEG4) to
different devices and players (e.g., an iPhone, a flash player, an
android phone, etc.).
I understand that the actual segmentation for the streaming may not be
the main concern of the TI board, but at least I need to have a smooth
transcoding from MPEG4 to H.264 format beforehand and shoot the video out to a UDP port.
I have gone through your documentation and found out that the modules
and software I need to use are the OpenMax APIs and the Gstreamer. But
as I see, TI is not going to support the Gstreamer for DM8168 until
2011Q4. So my question is that what would be the best/most efficient way
to reach the above mentioned goals and how.
Also please let me know if you already have the Gstreamer ready for
DM8168.
It would be really good if you can also help me with the gst-openmax and
its installation (if necessary), because as I've read in your forums,
probably it would do what we need.
