SK-AM68: DisplayPort resolution defaults to 800x600 when monitor is capable of 1920x1080.

I'm running SDK version 09_01_00 on my SK-AM68A dev board.  It powers up with an 800x600 resolution on my monitor.  My monitor is capable of 1920x1080, so that's what I'm expecting to see.

If I connect the same monitor to a TDA4VM dev kit also running SDK version 09_01_00, the output resolution is 1920x1080 which is what I expect.

How do I get my SK-AM68 to output a higher resolution?  Is this a function of a device tree overlay or something else?

    I mention it in the title but not in the post above: I'm connected via the DisplayPort interface.

    Hi T S,

    It looks like DisplayPort is hardcoded for 800x600 for SDK 9.1 and 9.2. Currently checking with the display team on this.

    Hi T S,

    There seems to be a known issue with the DSI-2-eDP bridge on the SK-AM68 that is actively being debugged with the bridge team. The issue seems to stem from timing parameter differences where the DSI-2-eDP bridge supports reduced timing parameters instead of standard timings.

    Current plan for a fix is SDK 10.0 which should happen around July 2024 timeframe.

    Sounds good.  WORKAROUND: Use HDMI connection instead.
