AM6412: Optimize the Power consumption

Hello,

As AM64x does not support the deep sleep mode, is there any sleep mode or frequency scaling method is available to optimize the battery consumption in the processor?

Please share more details or steps to achieve the frequency scaling or sleep mode is present..

Hi Dharmik

AM64 does not have support for any low power modes, OS IDLE or CPUFREQ framework. Currently there are no plans to add this support.
The only additional suggestion would be to keep A53 in WFI mode, when not used , using cpuidle etc and ensure to turn off all unused peripherals by using the PSC module, by default on power on reset several off them are already in clock off state, but in general our SDK may enable clocks to everything to allow easier development and functional evaluation.
