C6Run v0.97.03.03 : getltime() not know during compilation

Hi,

up to now, I used C6Run v0.94.05.05 and the function "getltime()" was not a problem.

Now I use C6Run v0.97.03.03 ans the function "getltime()" is not know during the compilation.
Below the log of the compilation

undefined     first referenced
  symbol           in file
 ---------     ----------------
 _CLK_getltime DebugOmap/dsp/dsp_cmn.o
 _CLK_getprd   DebugOmap/dsp/dsp.o

Does anybody has had this problem with C6Run ?

Thanks

  • Robert,

There is a clock() function that has previously referenced CLK_getltime() in the code that makes up the DSP backend library. Starting with release 0.97.01.01, that function switched from using CLK_getltime to CLK_gethtime for better time resolution.  But because that getltime function is no longer referenced, and we partially link the DSP OS libraries, it doesn't get included in the DSP back end library.  This is known to be a potential issue when users are attempting to directly use DSP/Bios OS calls - unless they are referenced in the DSP backend, they won't exist in the backend library.

Quick solution is to add a function to the backend library that makes use of these functions, and then rebuild the library. Hopefully by the next release we will be able to add support to the backend build to force all OS functions to be kept around until the user's final link step. That will increase the size of the backend library, but it shouldn't affect the final application size.

    Regards, Daniel
