I would like to ask a question on AINTC.
A search of AINTC in domain arm.com results in nothing, whereas a search without site qualifier shows the all top results in TI.com. It therefore seems that AINTC is developed by TI rather than specified by ARM. But does ARM standard prescribe the implementation of interrupt controller? Does manufacturer’s interrupt controller have to meet certain performance metrics?
On DaVinci products, interrupt controller is considered a part of the system mega module, and others are (SPRU871k, TMS320C64x+ DSP Megamodule Reference Guide):
; in ARM9/AM18x, is it part of the core or not? Does there exist a counterpart of the concept “mega module” in ARM9/AM18x?
