C7000-CGT: C7000 Environment setup using Windows Visual Studio

This is my code and there occurs LNK2001, LNK1120 errors because of [extern void test(int8 v)] I think.

Can you provide more details on what steps you followed already to try to get set up?

For example, what did you install, and what path variables did you set?

I am not familiar with the Visual Studio IDE, but are you able to see what the command that run for the build command? 

Can you send a screenshot of the errors?

I just downloaded and installed C7000-CGT-toolkit 4.1.0 LTS.

And In visual studio,

<Additional include directory>

Linker setting

<Additional dependency>

And I just build as this setup 

window SDK : 10.0

platform : visual studio 2019(v142)

C++ lang : C++14 standard

then the error occurs like below

linker errors.

I looked up the linking errors that it looks like your getting - seems like it could either be a library linking issue or a code issue (potentially with extern as you pointed out). Could you try commenting out the lines you have using the extern function and see if you still get the same linking error? So essentially commenting out lines 3 and 8.

From now how can I try "test" function?

Hi Kwanghyun,

Based on that test, it means you are linking the C7x library correctly. Otherwise your program would have had a compilation error when defining the vector on line 6 (since this is a variable type given by the C7x compiler). 

Essentially, it looks like you are misusing the extern keyword in defining test. You need to supply a definition of test somewhere and insure it is probably included to avoid the compilation error.

So I want to ask where is the definition of test.

Sorry I did not catch that in the image earlier. As George said, it would be up to you to supply an implementation of the function test based on what functionality you would want.
