AM68A: Could Pattern Conversion and IR Demosaicing possible by software implement?

Hi, TI Expert

Already know only VAPC3L support RGBIR sensor, possible device is AM62A, AM67A & TDA4 entry.

My customer hope to use AM68A for RGBIR sensor, but AM68a does not support RGBIR sensor.

My question :

1. Why AM68A or TDA4AL/VL do not support RGBIR sensor?

2. I believe it should be have work around way to let AM68A support RGBIR sensor. key technique is "Pattern Conversion and IR Demosaicing" by software, do we have reference code or suggestions?

    Because there is an HW module in VPAC of TDA4AEN, which is not support on TDA4VL/AL.

    Unfortunately, no there is no reference code available for the same.
