TMS320VC5502/VC5501 Silicon Errata - Advisory DMA_1

This advisory, DMA_1, says "This problem is best observed by following this sequence of events"...

Question 1:  Is this implying, this isn't the only scenario in which the problem could occur?

I ask this because, we are configuring the DMA Channels with AUTOINIT: ON and REPEAT: OFF but we are also using synchronization events with transmit and receive McBSP.

    The suggested sequence of events is the easiest sequence to reproduce the issue.

    The root cause of the issue is the DMA channel is diabled in the middle of a block transfer.

    With Repeat mode off and Auto_Init on, the DMA will not start another transfer unless the CPU sets ENDPROG.

    Make sure your McBSP events check for ENDPROG before starts.
