Hi Expert,

What is the maximum camera resolution that MIPI CSI-2 can support? The datasheet says it is 4M? Because there are 2M*8 input at the same time, it should be 16M

If two CSI-2 are input at the same time, will the maximum resolution be affected?

Can VPAC handle 2 CSI-2 inputs at the same time?

Hi Daniel,

Do you mean max resolution or max camera? These two are different.

Single VPAC cannot support two camera input simultaneously. VPAC processing is interleaved at the frame level.

Hi Daniel,

There isn't as such resolution limit in CSIRX, as long as the required per lane speed is within 2.5Gbps. We are using TR type-2 in the driver, which can capture big resolutions..

The limit is in the VISS/ISP, VISS can support at max 4096 lines size. So if you are planning to use ISP, then line width can be at max 4096 pixels.
