If it is, could you please provide guidance on how to utilize it?

If not, could you suggest any alternatives with similar functionality?

I have not used any camera like that.
Is that a USB camera?

No, it is a CSI(Camera Serial Interface) Infra-Red camera.

In this case, you would need a v4l2 driver for your camera.

Once you are able to receive raw images from the sensor, what processing do you need to do?
