SK-AM62A-LP: AM62A7 EVM XDS110 debugger

Part Number: SK-AM62A-LP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM62A7,

Hello Team,

I'm keen to explore if the XDS110 available in the AM62A7 EVM will effectively serve as a debugging tool for my custom hardware, which is based on a design similar to the AM62A7 EVM (TM4C1294NCPDTT3R not included in our custom hardware).

Regards,
Raveen
  • Raveen,

I don't understand your question.  Can you provide more details?  What are you envisioning implementing on your board?

Note, we do not support implementing your own XDS110 controller for onboard JTAG.  Custom boards should use external emulators to enable debug capabilities.

    Regards,

    Melissa

  • Melissaw,

I have an SK-AM62A-LP evaluation board. Would removing the resistor marked in the image below and connecting my custom board's JTAG to those resistor terminals suffice for functionality?

    Regards,

    Raveen

  • Hi Raveen,

    Thanks for the additional explanation.

No, removing the resistor marked in the image below and connecting your custom board's JTAG to those resistor terminals would not suffice for functionality.

    Regards,

    Melissa
