PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X: Mcu API Mcu_SetMode is not implemented as per Autosar

Hello Team,

MCAL Package: MCAL_SitaraMPU_09.01.00

In above mentioned MCAL Package, API Mcu_SetMode is implemented as:

FUNC(void, MCU_CODE) Mcu_SetMode(P2CONST(Mcu_ModeType, AUTOMATIC, MCU_APPL_DATA) McuMode)

here P2CONST is passed as input parameter.

As per AUTOSAR Implementation, API Mcu_SetMode [SWS_Mcu_00161] should be implemented as:

void Mcu_SetMode (Mcu_ModeType McuMode)

Could you please provide your feedback on this?

Hello Shubham,

Apologies for the delay here. This API is currently not supported in the MCAL SDK, and it is just a dummy implementation.
We have raised an internal JIRA to look into this, we will update this thread once that is analyzed.

Thanks for your reply.

Can you please confirm if this is updated in documentation from TI side?.. as per MCAL MCU Module Software Design Document-v37-20221007_040232.pdf, Mcu_SetMode implementation supports default (NOMINAL) mode.

This JIRA has been accepted will be fixed in 10.0 MCAL SDK.

Hi Nihar,
Below error message is reported after updating the Mcu_SetMode as mentioned:

../MCAL_Delivery/mcal_drv/mcal/Mcu/src/Mcu.c:233:22: error: use of undeclared identifier 'Mcu_DrvObj'
else if (NULL_PTR == Mcu_DrvObj)
                     ^
1 error generated.

You can add the below definition in the Mcu.c file

/** \brief MCU driver object */
static Mcu_DriverObjType Mcu_DriverObj;

Mcu_DriverObjType *Mcu_DrvObj = &Mcu_DriverObj;
