Hi Sonia,
It is hard for TI to make part recommendations other than what are on TI EVMs. For example TI Ethernet PHYs are on the TI EVMs.
I can provide some general advice based on past experiences and other devices. I have not worked yet with a RFID device. For purpose of discussion I will assume the OS planned to be used on your project is Linux. The most important piece of advice is to pick a device that has a maintained open source driver. Maintained means that the vendor is updating the driver when new kernel versions are released.
I would recommend that you pick a RFID vendor that has an EVM and open source driver. You might also check if the driver is available through the Debian apt-get process so you can use the TI Debian file system on the TI EVM to add that driver. Another key bit of advice is pick a vendor that has a DTS (device tree source) example that you will need for the necessary DTS change to bind the RFID to the TI EVM over SPI.

Hi,
I am not able to make a suggestion as I am not sure about Linux driver support. I will reach out to this team to see if there any support. This may take a day or two.
