TDA4VM: Questions about VPAC

I got some questions about this document(below).

1. In this page VPAC has BNF but it's ambigous to understand two modes "Bilateral" and "Generic".

What is "Generic" means? it would be Gaussian filter i think, but not certain.

2. I wonder Multi Scalar operate using software totally or hardware or mix two with them.

3. Can i get a detail information about VISS? the document i got has a few information so hard to understand.

hi,

#1, BNF is primarily used for Bilateral Noise filter in YUV mode.

#2, Scaling operation in MSC is done by HW

#3, can you please refer to TRM for this?

Many thanks for reply, but few more question about that.

#1, I agree that you said but in this doc listed Bilateral and Generic. so i'd like to know difference between these two .

#3, TRM means documents?

Yes, TRM mean technical reference manual, can you please refer to this document for #1?

Yeah i found #1 int TRM you suggested.

"Generic mode" means filter of custom value using LUT i guess.

Also should find more info about VISS here.
