PROCESSOR-SDK-J721S2: Suggestion to purchase camera module for fusion daughter board

Hi,

I am using Fusion Board (Rev C) with J721S2 EVM with SDK v9.2 RTOS. I have gone through the supported camera list below, We have shortlist D3 (IMX390 DesignCore® Discovery Series) camera modules.

And, these are list of supported camera modules in the RTOS SDK v9.2,

i : GW_AR0233_UYVY

I want to ask "IMX390-UB953-DISCOVERY-NARROW/MID/WIDE" is "Rugged Camera Module" or just "CM - Camera Module"? Hi Ahmed,

My understanding is that the old RCM and CM modules are discontinued at D3.
You probably won't be able to buy them from D3 anymore.

The discovery modules currently on D3's website replace the old RCM and CM modules.

Can you share the "SKU" of D3 discovery module that are tested and validated by TI? e.g.,

Hi Ahmed,

SDK 9.2 has RTOS driver for these new IMX390 discovery cameras.
All models should be able to work under RTOS with single-cam or multi-cam apps.

As you can see in the 9.2 imaging release notes, D3 reused the previous DCC tuning of old RCM cameras and has not tuned these new models yet.

BTW, the lens model does not make any difference now for RTOS sensor driver support.
You may pick the FOV according to your need.

Please feel free to contact D3 if you have any questions about their cameras.
They have their cameras tested on their own TDA4 H/W and S/W platforms and provided the camera driver to TI.
