AM69: How to obtain Software adaptation state

Hello everyone，

As we all know, the AM69 currently uses the BusyBox file system. This means that most software needs to be manually ported and installed. Regarding the subsequent software adaptation and source maintenance, what are the recommended approaches to obtain these? Additionally, is there a system adaptation plan in place, and how can we track the progress of this adaptation?

As note in the documentation, the Linux bootloader, kernel and the Yocto based filesystem are all source from the public source repositories. The customers can choose their own system adaptation plan as they decide and the SDK does not put any restrictions on the same.

Thank you very much for the tip, but I want to upgrade the systetem, can I use the system with software management tools(such as apt), so that what software is needed in the subsequent development process can be installed directly , rather than using source code

Hello Ming,

The TI SDK that is provided to customers is based on Yocto and the individual source repo are public. As noted by you software management tools like apt is not supported by Yocto compared to other distros like Debian/Armbian. As such, TI does not support these distro and it is up to the customers to adapt/migrate to these. Hope you got the clarification.,
