Hi TI Experts,
I see the MIPI_CSI-2 and DSI are all V1.3, can they support DSI v1.2 and CSI V1.2 mode?

Hang

Hello Hung,
Thank you for the query.
I would believe this should be compatible.
Let me check and confirm.

Hello Hung,
Refer below additional inputs from the expert:
The CSI v1.3 spec specifies it was “designed to ensure interoperability with [v1.2]” assuming you are using DPHY. CPHY backwards compatibility does not seem guaranteed.
DSI v1.3 seems backwards compatible assuming you do not intend to use the features that were added, which seem limited to checksum, and deskew for Test Mode and split link support.

Hi Expert,
Thanks your reply,
it seems that all versions of CSI-2 are backward compatible with previous versions in d-phy mode, and DSI are not absolutely backward compatible with previous versions;
So can it be ok if we use the AM62P output DSI_DATA to the SerDes(the SerDes MIPI interface is DSI 1.2 in D-PHY mode)?

Hello Ameen,
Thank you.

Should be Ok on a high level for device selection.
