AM62A7: Can tidss rotate the video stream?

Part Number: AM62A7

Tool/software:

Dear Ti support,

We currently have a working project that outputs the video stream in a portait manner. Unfortunately the screen we are using can only refresh in landscape mode. Rotation is needed, i.e. transforming a 720x1920 stream to 1920x720 to achieve our goal.

I've confirmed that by using the videoflip plugin the video stream can be rotated properly, but it has two drawbacks:

1. It's software based and introduces additional CPU workload and latency.

2. It can only handle the video stream outside of kmssink, while in the kmssink two planes will be blended. Additional work needs to be done to the other plane.

If tidss can rotate the blended image directly, our problem would be easily solved. But currently kmssink doesn't have related property, and we are not sure if the flip/mirror support mentioned in 12.10.4.1.6.3 of the TRM can fulfill the need. Could you please evaluate the availability of tidss on this task, and a brief guide about how it can be done?

Thank you for the support in advance and looking forward to your reply.

Regards,

Huang Jingjie
