Hi,

I am working with am57xx-evm and the latest SDK 9.x.

I am testing wayland + GPU support with the latest release and have found some issues:

For example:

root@am57xx-evm:/usr/share/qt5/examples/gui# ./openglwindow/openglwindow 
MESA: info: Loaded libpvr_dri_support.so
The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?
root@am57xx-evm:/usr/share/qt5/examples/gui#

Looking at the screen I can see application starts but then closes immediately after.

Did you test wayland + EGL support on AM57x with SDK 9.x?

Looking at https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/09_02_00_133/exports/docs/devices/AM57X/linux/Release_Specific_Release_Notes.html#issues-tracker release notes I don't see wayland + EGL being depreated?

Can you share the exact release you are using? Are you using this:

Yes, I am using 09.02.00.133 release for AM57x.

Can you check on your side if aforementioned commands produce appropriate graphics?

Summarizing the mail thread:

- The SGX driver is experiencing issues due to updates in the release that caused current applications to fail (like glmark2, weston-simple-egl). Due to these issues, we expect updates to come in for SGX bug fixes in SDK 10.x for AM57x, which is expected to come on the later part of 2025.
