TDA4VM: PD Controller Configuration for Custom PCB

Part Number: TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25750,

Tool/software:

I am using TDA4VM-SK's schematic as reference and made a Custom board for TDA4VM.

Now the problem is, The PD controller is not giving proper output. It gives for moment and goes off. Board is working fine if I give 12v across VMAIN of PD controller output.

Do I need to write to EEPROM for default configuration?

  • Yes -  the SK design includes a default setting in the EEPROM for the PD device.  Attached is the configuration file.

    .

  • So the PD should work in the custom board also right?

And how to upload this to eeprom if needed?

  • If the TPS25750 design of the custom PCB is same as SK-TDA4VM, then yes the same programming file should work.  Please see the TPS25750 documentation for programming details.  If additional help is needed, please submit E2E request specific for the TPS25750 (so it get routed to proper team).  This E2E is in the processor organization (not the TPS25750 experts)

  • Hi Robert,

the PD controller's EEPROM isn't flashed in my case. I flashed it. Then it worked.
